Who we are

OUR STORY

“How it all started”

In 2012, we, as long-time friends (Vlastík and Martin) agreed to quit our old jobs (programmer and computer graphics) and began to devote our time to our hobby - wine. At that time, Martin, besides doing his work, had already successfully developed a web project for the sale of gift wines and so we practically jumped on a running train. We got together with a third friend from our youth, Eva, and we started working.  

Because we cooperated exclusively with Moravian winemakers and suppliers, we gradually added a range of delicacies originating in Moravia. The first few products from smaller producers we supported using our own brand Chuť Moravy (Taste of Moravia) and under this we started to offer “the best” from small Moravian producers. However, that wasn’t enough for us and we wanted to come up with our own products. Inspiration from old cookbooks led to the birth of the first specialty – Midsummer walnuts. After their great success came other appetizers such as hops, pickled green Hustopeče almonds and spruce jelly. All the time, we try to come up with something new, original and above all, exceptional in taste. Judge for yourselves whether we are doing it well.

  • Vlastík

    As a result of his programming history, Vlastík is the systemic brain of the whole of Chuť Moravy. He can calculate everything perfectly, create the best charts in the whole Moravia and, moreover, climb the trees. As can be seen from the photos, Vlastík is always in a good mood and his positive energy drives the whole of Chuť Moravy. He is also a great diplomat and does not get upset with anything. 

  • Martin

    Martin, in contrast to Vlastik, is somewhat more excitable in character. He solves things impulsively, often improvising, but thanks to this he drives Chuť Moravy in terms of its creativity and creates its public face. As a former graphic artist, he needs to be in control of every detail and package that leaves the warehouse, so he occasionally gets on his colleagues’ nerves. However, you can be sure that what you order with us will not only taste great but also look amazing. And in the climbing of trees he can even compare with Vlastík :)

  • Eva

    For a long time, Eve was the grinding stone between many of Vlastik and Martin’s creative debates. Now she has a partner, Denisa, and so the score has settled. Without Eva, nothing at Chuť Moravy would work, apart from charts and Photoshop. Eva can make possible even the impossible. She has an overview of everything from invoicing to the missing paper in the printer, and she bakes great desserts. She could still improve at climbing trees :)

  • Denisa

    Although Denisa is the youngest member of the team, she fits into the team as if she had been with us from the very beginning. Denisa is not only a great business person who can sell at least three more of each product, but also as a result of her experience at a recruiting agency, she has a great sense of people, so we always have only the best assistants. She is such a hard-worker that, at home, her husband has to turn off the Wi-Fi at 11 pm, otherwise she would not sleep at all. :)
